Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is above a pub which adds to its charm. The rooms were a little dated but very spacious, with an extra heater if it got nippy on a night. The service was very helpful and keen to get things right, even though they were renovating the place. The location couldn't be better for exploring Northumberland, and upon returning, the live entertainment at the bar was a bonus. The dining experience, although changed to be cereal only, was excellent and cheap. A traditional Marche products were served at the Old Bakehouse in Morpeth.
Staying above a pub couldn't be more fun! The location is perfect for exploring Northumberland, and the live entertainment at the property is a real bonus. Rooms are cozy and come with an extra heater, but don't expect luxury. Service is undergoing renovations, so I can only imagine it'll get even better soon!
The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Northumberland with the added bonus of a lively bar and live entertainment on-site. The service was top-notch, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. While the setting above a pub may not be luxurious, it offers a convenient base for sightseeing.
